Niagara Falls, NY – Some 300 law enforcement officers participated in a drug a major drug bust in Niagara Falls Thursday morning.
Arrest warrants were issued for 28 drug suspects. Authorities say most were apprehended and taken into custody without incident. Many were members of the notorious drug gang, the Bloods. Officers carrying out the raids confiscated a quantity of drugs, guns and money.
Falls Police Chief John Chella says it's one of the biggest raids he's been a part of. The raids began at around 6am.
The raids culminated a more than one year investigation initiated by the US Attorney's office, the ATF, the Drug Enforcement Agency and Niagara Falls Police
