Buffalo, NY – Anxiety over a visit to the dentist is something many of us experience. So, a University at Buffalo Dental School student thought it would be interesting to find out if there are ways of easing that anxiety.
Creed Cardon is a second-year dental student. As part of a research project, Cardon chose to study the ability of pleasant sensations, such as soothing music and aromas, to alleviate stress. So, would the sweet scent of vanilla and some classical music make patients feel more relaxed?
We reached Creed Cardon on his cell phone Wednesday just as he wrapped up a day of classes. Click the audio player above to hear Mark Scott's interview now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
