Amherst, NY – The University community came together to remember the 50 lives lost in the plane crash. A remembrance service was held Tuesday morning at the Student Union Theater. The tragedy touches very close to the school. Eleven of the victims had connections to UB. Six of the victims were UB alumni. That included Doug Wielinski who was killed in his Long Street home. He was a 1969 UB graduate.
