Buffalo, NY – Noted historian and human rights activist Alison Des Forges was among those who perished in the Continental Flight 3407 crash. The former UB researcher leaves a distinguished legacy. Over her nearly half century of work around the globe, the author and humanitarian earned world-wide recognition and countless awards including a MacArthur Genius grant for her opus work "Leave No One to Tell the Tale."

WBFO's Joyce Kryszak talked with Des Forges' long-time colleague and friend Claude Welch. The SUNY Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science shared some memories and reflections of his friend and her many contributions.
