Buffalo, NY – Congresswoman Louise Slaughter has organized an Upstate New York Congressional Caucus.
Eleven members from the upstate region met as a caucus for the first time Thursday. Western New York's other House members -- Democrats Brian Higgins and Eric Massa and Republican Chris Lee are part of the caucus.
Slaughter said some of the money from a proposed economic recovery plan should be earmarked for projects upstate -- projects that she said would create jobs for out-of-work New Yorkers.
