Half A Christmas Card Is Better Than None

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – WBFO gets a lot of holiday cards. But one card in particular this year had us laughing out loud.

Usually the card that makes us laugh comes from our friends at Car Talk. This year's card features the Car Guys scratching their head over an engine that's been torn apart. Standing behind them is the presumed owner of that engine, President-elect Barack Obama. The caption reads, "Hmmm...OK, maybe we can't."

Well, this year, the Car Talk card is taking a back seat to one we received from the local advertising and public relations agency of Travers Collins and Company. It's a standard card that was literally cut in half. Inside, one of the staffers wrote that "everybody is cutting back this year."

Bill Collins is one of the principals of Travers Collins. He joined us on the phone from his office on Tuesday to give us the story behind the card. Click the audio player above to hear Mark Scott's interview now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
