Buffalo, NY – The entire University at Buffalo community is basking in the glow of a football championship. The Bulls captured the championship of the Mid American Conference Friday night with a stunning 42 to 24 victory over previously unbeaten Ball State.
UB has more game to play. They'll meet Connecticut in the International Bowl at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Saturday, January 3rd.
Friday's victory was one for the ages. Just when it appeared Ball State was on the verge of taking control of the game, UB forced a goal line fumble and returned the ball 92 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. The Bulls never trailed after that.
UB President John Simpson was at Detroit's Ford Field for this historic game. He joined us on the phone from his North Campus office to talk about it. Click the audio player above to hear Mark Scott's interview now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
