Buffalo, NY – The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties through 6am Saturday.
Forecasters say bands of lake snow developed in the Western Southern Tier Friday. The snow was expected to continue through the day and overnight hours. Accumulations in the six to ten inch range are expected in persistent bands.
In the immediate Buffalo area, a few rain and wet snow showers are in the forecast. But the snow is not expected to acccumulate.
