Cheektowaga, NY – Five more Internet service providers have jumped on board the effort to block child pornography from Websites. 12 Internet service providers have signed a code of conduct with the New York State Attorney.

Andrew Cuomo appeared at the Cleveland Hill High School in Cheektowaga Tuesday. That is where he talked with a group of parents about his on-going campaign to eliminate child porn on-line.

Cuomo says it is a parents responsibility to make sure the Internet service they purchase for their home blocks child pornography.

The latest Internet service providers to sign the deal include LocalNet, Windstream and Wild Blue. Just three weeks ago the attorney general sent a letter to LocalNet threatening of possible legal action if they failed to agree to eliminate access to the sites. Windstream, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, provides Internet services to mainly rural communities in 16-states including New York. In Western New York, Windstream is available in Jamestown.
