Buffalo, NY – 30 year old Cara Dickey, the former South Buffalo Charter School teacher fired last month after an alleged inappropriate relationship with an eighth grade student, turned herself in Buffalo police Thursday.
Dickey now faces four charges, two of them felonies, and was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail in the Erie County Holding Center. Her arraignment is scheduled for July 28th.
Dickey and the 14 year old boy went missing June 16th, but were found the next day in separate locations. The two reportedly made a suicide pact with each other, and arrest documents say Dickey provided the student with alcohol and over the counter medicines.
