Buffalo, NY – There will be no disciplinary action against McKinley High School principal Crystal Barton and other school administrators at this time.
The school has been under scrutiny because of a seven week suspension of senior Jayvonna Kincannon in December that has since been deemed excessive.
School board member Chris Jacobs says pursuing punitive charges would be time consuming and expensive, and would likely be dismissed under state education law.
The board met with attorney Kristoff and superintendent James Williams to review the McKinley situation before emerging with its decision.
