Buffalo, NY – Four Buffalo police officers were at Ralph Wilson Stadium Thursday, trying to find out more information about the May 31st hit and run incident in which a pedestrian was struck by an SUV registered to Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch.
So far, police spokesman Mike DeGeorge says they have had little or no cooperation.
"Investigators believe there are individuals in Bills management who might have information about the hit and run incident involving Mr. Lynch," DeGeorge said.
That is prompting a grand jury investigation. Three players and one team official have already been subpoenaed, and more are likely.
The Buffalo News reports that even team owner Ralph Wilson could receive a court summons, as he was seen talking with one of the players who police wanted to question.
But District Attorney Frank Clark released a written statement late Friday afternoon, saying he has no plans to subpoena Wilson to testify.
