By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – Bufffalo Police say they are waiting for Buffalo Bills Running back Marshawn Lynch to come forward.

Lynch's vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident early Saturday morning on Delaware Avenue at Chippewa.

Buffalo Police spokesman Mike DeGeorge. He says police tired to reach Lynch shortly after the hit and run accident, but were unsuccessful. However, his attorney contacted investigators on Monday.

A 27 year old woman from Milton, Ontario was struck by the car. She was treated for two bruises to her hip, received seven stitches and was released from Buffalo General Hospital.

DeGeorge says investigators must talk with Lynch to determine who was driving his 2008 Porsche SUV.

Lynch participated in a workout with the team yesterday at Ralph Wilson Stadium. But he would not talk with reporters following Bills practice yesterday.

His attorney Michael Caffery issued a statement saying he has instructed Lynch not to comment on the matter.
