Buffalo, NY – A pack of cigarettes will cost New Yorkers more starting Tuesday.
The state's tax on a pack will jump from $1.50 to $2.75, making New York's cigarette tax the highest in the nation.
Gasoline prices have skyrocketed. It's costing more to shop for food. And now, if you're a smoker, you'll be shelling out more for that pack of cigarettes. There's not much we can do about those rising gas prices. Smokers, on the other hand, do have a choice. They can quit. Of course, that's not always easy. But help is available.
