Buffalo, NY – Union members will be back at work next week at two Buffalo area American Axle factories.
Rank and file members of the United Auto Workers have officially ratified a new contract, ending a nearly three-month-old strike. About 500 UAW members work at the company's plants in Tonawanda and Cheektowaga.
Under the terms of the new contract, the Tonawanda plant will close but the Cheektowaga factory will remain open.
