Buffalo, NY – Buffalo is back on top as one of the nation's best places for the arts.
AmericanStyle magazine says Buffalo is the number one arts destination for mid-sized cities. Patrons of the arts use the "AmericanStyle" poll to guide them to cities where the arts are thriving.
Ed Healy of the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau says the ranking helps in his agency's efforts to market the region.
"AmericanStyle" described Buffalo as a "hidden jewel" and cited construction of the Burchfield-Penney Arts Center and the Artspace building as reasons why.
Buffalo topped such similarly-sized cities as Scottsdale, Arizona, Pittsburgh and New Orleans.
