Buffalo, NY – Kenny Macdonald interviews Bob Berkman, Music Director of Buffalo-based QRS Music Technologies Incorporated. The 107-year old company still makes traditional-style music rolls for pianola as well as modern automatic piano players. Bob talks about the differences in arranging music for humans versus a pianola, the surprising amount of work required by the pianolist and his personal collection of ethnic music so specific, he even made up his own word: Klezmerola
