Buffalo, NY – U.S. Congressman Brian Higgins and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown want the City's waterfront to become a winter destination.
They plan to create year-round public access and activities near the waterfront and Erie Basin Marina.
Congressman Higgins and Mayor Brown announced that Erie Basin Marina will now be open year round. The two leaders no longer want the Marina and other areas of the City's waterfront shut down during the winter months.
Higgins says the public should have access for winter recreation. Higgins says a committee will be formed to develop ice skating, pond hockey and other winter activities.
