Buffalo, NY – Injured Florida Panthers player, Richard Zednik moved into a private room at Buffalo General Tuesday and could be discharged from the hospital in just a couple of days.
Zednik's surgeon, Dr. Sonya Noor, says that he is in good condition and is even joking with family members. Follow-up tests show no signs of brain or nerve damage from the horrific injury suffered during Sunday's hockey game in Buffalo.
Noor says his severed carotid artery is healing beautifully and Zednik should be able to start training again in as soon as six weeks. But she says the psychological injury from the trauma might take longer to heal.
