Buffalo, NY – Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown has hired a new deputy mayor.
Donna Brown, no relation to the Mayor, will become the City's second deputy mayor. The position has been vacant for nearly two years since a California woman appointed to the post quit a short time later.
Brown is a Buffaloian who is familiar to City Hall. She was with LP Ciminelli, working on the Joint Schools Construction Project.
"I am truly and sincerely excited to be joining Mayor Brown and his team," Donna Brown said. "They have already accomplished so much to keep Buffalo on track."
In her job as deputy mayor, Ms. Brown will focus on housing and community development as well as education initiatives.
