Buffalo, NY – There will be free parking at all city meters this Monday, Christmas Eve.
The Common Council voted unanimously Thursday to offer free parking to attract last minute shoppers to the city's retail strips. Some meters in the city charge $1 for one hour's worth of parking.
Jeffrey Rinaldo, president of the Hertel-North Buffalo Business Association, said he would like to see the free parking incentive expanded to a week next year.
