Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron Brown met with reporters inside the dank and deteriorating Memorial Auditorium Wednesday to announce that the building will be transferred to the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation.
The Mayor also confirmed plans for an auction of old seats and other items from the Aud.
Brown says the Aud will be demolished to make way for a future Bass Pro store as well as other retail, commercial and residential development.
Brown says the Common Council is expected to approve the transfer of the Aud to the Harbor Corporation next Wednesday.
