Buffalo, NY – A major snow storm is heading toward Western New York this weekend. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 10 P.M. Saturday night through 7 A.M. Monday morning for all of Western New York.
Forecasters expect the snow to begin in Buffalo during the overnight hours Saturday. By Sunday morning, snow is expected to be heavy and winds will pick up. Winds could gust up to 35-miles an hour, creating whiteout conditions on area roads.
National Weather metrologist Tom Niziol says this storm system will be widespread. It is expected across the entire Northeast.
The storm is expected to dump more than a foot of snow across the region.
