Buffalo, NY – Erie County Executive-elect Chris Collins Wednesday unrolled what he called a transparent hiring process for his new administration.
Collins says he has about 30 to 40 jobs to fill. About six to ten of those he considers high priority positions. Topping the list is his search for the most qualified deputy county executive.
A couple of resumes have been submitted for that post. But Collins says those candidates, as well as all the others, will have to apply and supply the same criteria for consideration. And he says there is already a lot of interest.
"Every job is up for grabs," Collins said. "The resumes and expressions of interest have been pouring in since the day after the election."
Collins says that anyone who is interested can go to the county's website for job descriptions and details of the hiring process. He says starting salaries for every job will also be posted to keep the process completely transparent.
