Authorities Bust Drug Ring

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Seventeen people are under arrest in a major drug bust. Several law enforcement agencies in the region worked together to bust a cocaine and crack ring that stretched from Buffalo to Salamanca.

Authorities identify the ring leader as 33-year-old Monae Davis of Buffalo. Nancy Cote of the Drug Enforcement Agency says Davis and the others are accused of selling significant amounts of crack cocaine.

Davis and two accomplices face the most serious drug charges and could be sentenced to 20 years to life in prison if convicted.

A total of 21 suspects were indicted. The investigation began last January.
