Buffalo, NY – The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation says it will be voting Thursday on a Bass Pro agreement.
This latest Bass Pro deal calls for the company to build its store at the former Memorial Auditorium site downtown. Corporation board member Larry Quinn says the deal still needs a little more tweaking, but promises that Bass Pro has already "signed off" on the deal.
The Harbor Development Corporation reconvenes for a special meeting to vote on the Bass Pro deal Thursday afternoon at 4.
Erie County Executive Joel Giambra released $7 million to the Corporation for pre-demolition work at the old Aud site.
The funding was part of an earlier deal issued by the County and City to provide a total of $14 million for Aud work. But Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says the City won't be providing $7 million.
