Buffalo, NY – Plans continue to move forward to build a permanent casino in downtown Buffalo. The Seneca Gaming Corporation says it expects to have the final design plans for the Buffalo Seneca Creek Casino by the end of this month.
Brian Hansberry is the newly named president and CEO of the gaming Corporation. The larger, 125-thousand square foot casino, will replace the temporary one that opened in July in the City's Cobblestone district.
The smaller casino has already attracted 90,000 eople to downtown Buffalo over the last few months. Hansberry says those number surprised the corporation.
Hansberry says they will move forward on the cty casino despite ongoing lawsuits. He says the Seneca's have complied, and those suits are against the US Government.
In Niagara Falls, where the Senecas own 50-acres of land, more development is planed around the Seneca Niagara Casino and hotel. Hansberry says they want to add restaurants and shopping to make it a complete resort for visitors.
