Buffalo, NY – Contract talks between the City and Buffalo Police union appear to be at a stand-still. But Mayor Byron Brown says he is waiting to return to talks.
Mayor Brown met with the leader and rank and file members of the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association to begin hammering out a new contract a couple of weeks ago. Brown says the city placed a 10.2% pay raise on the table during those talks
PBA president Bob Meegan claimed he was not pleased with the offer. The union says the 10.2% increase was under the current contract, and was never honored due to the wage freeze. But the freeze was lifted July first.
Meegan claims contact talks have ended. But Brown says the union needs to return to the table.
