Buffalo, NY – A D'Youville College professor has been accused of receiving child pornography on his work computer.
The FBI arrested 59 year old Philip Gray Wednesday night. He was arraigned yesterday in U-S District Court. Gray was charged with unlawful receipt and possession of child pornography. Assistant U-S Attorney James Kennedy says Gray received the pornography through his computer at the college.
Kennedy says federal officials were first tipped off about the computer in June Gray is scheduled to return to federal court Monday for a detention hearing. He is listed as a professor in the Libral Arts-Sociology Department at D'Youville.
The College says it has no comment on the case. If found guilty, the charges against him carry a minimum term of 5-years in prison, and a maximum penalty of up to 20 years.
