Niagara Falls, NY – A fire at the Castle Motor Inn along Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls forced the evacuation of several guests Monday night.
The fire apparently began in the kitchen of an adjoining restaurant shortly after 10 p.m. Falls fire chief William MacKay says the flames spread quickly.
Police officers and firefighters helped to evacuate guests from 26 rooms. Rescue crews had to awaken ten guests in one room who were unaware of the fire. All of the guests got out safely. There were no injuries reported.
The fire apparently was sparked by an electrical malfunction in the kitchen of an adjoining restaurant.
