Buffalo, NY – A member of the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation tells WBFO News that work continues to finalize drawings, plans and designs for a Bass Pro store in downtown Buffalo.
Sabres managing partner Larry Quinn is with the Harbor Corporation. He says within the next few weeks the public could learn more about the next round of planning for a waterfront Bass Pro store.
A Bass Pro deal began to take shape in April when the Canal Corporation and Bass Pro approved a "letter of intent". Under the proposed plan, Bass Pro would become the anchor store for a much larger waterfront project. It would include a marketplace and museum. A final deal can not be negotiated until an environmental study is conducted at the site. Quinn says a final signing won't happen for another seven to eight months.
