Buffalo, NY – The superintendent of the Buffalo public school system has received a two year contract extension.
The Buffalo Board of Education approved the extension for James Williams during a closed-door executive session Wednesday evening. The extension will keep Williams in charge of the city's school system until July 2011.
The 63-year-old superintendent's salary will remain at $205,000.
Williams received a three year contract in 2005 that last year was extended for one year, through 2009.
