It's Almost Over!

By Associated Press

Ottawa, Ontario – The Ottawa Senators are one win away from their first trip to the Stanley Cup finals.

Ray Emery stopped 15 shots for his third shutout this postseason as the Senators blanked the top-seeded Buffalo Sabres 1 to 0 Monday evening to take a 3 to 0 lead in the Eastern Conference finals.

Daniel Alfredsson got the Ottawa goal. It's his ninth goal of the playoffs.

The Sabres' woes are because of their lack of scoring on the power play. They were oh-for-six in power-play chances. For this series, they have failed to score in 18 man-advantage situations.

Ryan Miller was the Sabres' best player, keeping Buffalo in the game by stopping 31 shots, including 13 in the first period.

The Senators improved to an NHL-best 11-2 this postseason. They've won six in a row.

They can eliminate the Sabres in Game Four in Ottawa on Wednesday.
