Time Warner Internet Service Returned to Normal

By Mark Scott

Buffalo, NY – Time Warner says it has fixed all of the problems that disrupted broad-band Internet service to 130,000 of its customers.

Company officials say the problems started Sunday when Time Warner began activating its new fiber-optic network. They say all service was returned to normal early Tuesday.

As part of the transition from Adelphia's "Power Link" to Time Warner's "Roadrunner," spokeswoman Robin Wolfgang says customers will see their email addresses changed.

"This will occur later this month. It will be phased in across Western New York and will be completed by the end of June," Wolfgang said. "Customers will be getting notices telling them when to switch over to Roadrunner."

E-mail sent to the old Adelphia.net addresses of customers will be automatically forwarded for a six month period.
