Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Common Council formally presented its annual plan-of-action report Monday. Council President David Franczyk presented the overview of key legislative issues members want to concentrate on prior to budget negotiations in May. Franczyk says the plan focuses on fixing the basics like hiring more police officers and improving the city's quality of life...
"It's a whole myriad of things dealing with such issues as violence in schools," Franczyk said. "It's a myriad of ideas from the nine Council members of what they see as their top priorities for the city's 2007-2008 fiscal year."
The plan has already been shared with Mayor Byron Brown's office. Franczyk says he expects to be in harmony with the mayor on many items.
