Washington, DC – Many Americans believe the war on terror began after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. But in a documentary that airs on the Discovery Channel this Sunday night at 9:00, Correspondent Ted Koppel makes the case that this is a war that has been fought for the past 25 years and will continue for generations to come.
The Pentagon is calling it "The Long War."
Koppel will explore this in-depth in a special report for the Discovery Channel titled "Our Children's Children's War." Koppel, who is also senior news analyst for NPR News in Washington, joined WBFO's Mark Scott from his Washington office to talk more about his documentary.
