Schumer Updates Effort to Keep Bills in Buffalo

By Eileen Buckley

Buffalo, NY – US Senator Schumer says he continues to make sure the Buffalo Bills are well represented when it comes to NFL decisions about small market teams.

Senator Schumer says he asked the NFL to include Bills owner Ralph Wilson to be part of the qualifiers committee. That committee determines what benefits will go to small market teams like Buffalo. A few months ago, Wilson reached out to Schumer asking him to assist in making sure the NFL's revenue sharing plan helps small market teams in order to ensure the Bills remain in Western New York.

For now, Schumer says he believes things are moving at a good pace.

Wilson has repeatedly stated that the new collective bargaining agreement hurts smaller franchises like the Buffalo Bills.
