Buffalo, NY – An unidentified woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center Wednesday night after driving her car into an entranceway of HSBC Arena downtown.
Andrea Rosenthal, an arena employee, tells the News she pulled the woman from her car, then called 911.
The accident happened at around 9:30 last night, and rescue crews say the driver, an unidentifed woman, was not seriously injured.
"We got here and we found the car up against the building and raised up on top of one of those garbage can type pylons. The lady was wandering around, really didn't know what happened."
Police have impounded the car, and an investigation is underway. Damage to the entrance is not expected to affect tonight's Sabres game in the arena.
