Clarence, NY – Erie County Sheriff investigators say an internet relationship is too blame for the murder of a Lockport man.
22 year old Brian Barrett was shot to death two months ago in the parking lot of Dynabrade Incorporated off Sheridan Drive in Clarence. But now investigators have a suspect and motive.
Barrett's co-worker, 47-year year old Thomas Montgomery of Cheektowaga was arrested Monday morning and later charged with second degree murder. Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard says both were involved in a cyber relationship with a woman in her mid-40's from West Virginia claiming to be an 18-year old. Investigators believe she was the motive for murder.
