Buffalo, NY – One of the State's top democratic leaders toured the newly opened Buffalo Life Sciences Complex and Roswell Park Cancer Institute Wednesday to learn more about advances in cancer care and research.
State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver was offered a close look at the growth of the cancer institute's contributions within the Buffalo Medical corridor.
Top Roswell doctors spoke on topics ranging from cancer genetics to robotic surgery. They wanted to introduce Silver and several members of the Western New York's Assembly delegation, to new research and clinical initiatives that are being conducted by Roswell.
The state has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into this new endeavor in an effort to grow Buffalo's economy. The Buffalo Life Sciences Complex opened six months ago.
