Buffalo, NY – Members of Buffalo's business community will be gathering Saturday night. But it will not be for a corporate meeting. Instead they will perform in a brand new event called "Transformations After Hours -- Buffalo Business Takes Center Stage."
"Transformation After Hours" is a unique and first of a kind event for Buffalo. Music will set the theme for Saturday night's show at The Church on Delaware Avenue.
The event is designed to showcase the many hidden talents of some unexpected citizens. A number of local business people and media personalities will take to the stage to perform.
Co-chair Madonna Spitler said all proceeds from the $75 ticket event will benefit Upstate New York Transplant Services.
Saturday night's line up includes a television news weather forecaster who is also a vocalist to several business men and women who will perform jazz, classical and even some rock.
Dr. David Silverstein will also be performing. He practices family medicine by day, but at night he is a jazz keyboard player in Equinox.
Silverstein says his family had a personal experience with organ donations. So performing in this benefit for transplant services really hits home. About two years ago, his brother-in-law received a liver transplant and then needed a kidney.
And one other local jazz musician will be part of the talent line up -- WBFO'S own Macy Favor. About 300 tickets have already been sold. Tickets will be available at the door. For ticket information, check out the UNYTS website or call 566-3935.
