Buffalo, NY – Data on health and human services in Western New York are now available on a comprehensive website run by UB's Institute for Local Governance and Regional Growth.
The website is known as the Regional Knowledge Network, or RKN. It's already a resource for people who want to find out how much their city government is in debt or how much their town government is spending. Now, data on health and human services have been added to the website covering such topics as disability, disease, mortality, mental health and more.
The OiShei Foundation provided a grant to the Institute to help it develop data and maps in ten topic areas by May 2008. Due to come on line next is information about regional assets and public safety.
