Buffalo, NY – For the past 15 years, Corey Flintoff has been delivering the news at the top of each hour during All Things Considered. Before ATC delves into the day's stories in-depth, Corey gives you a grasp of what's going on in your world in a tight, crisply written newscast.
Corey recently returned to the newscast unit after spending much of the past year assigned to NPR's foreign desk. In August, he'll begin a month long assignment in Iraq.
Corey started his broadcasting career in Alaska. He's one of several NPR staffers who worked for the Alaska Public Radio Network. He covered the 1989 Exxon Valdes oil spill and was honored for his work with an award from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
A couple of years ago, he took a sabbatical from NPR to spend several months in Mongolia where he taught journalism and radio production.
Corey Flintoff visited WBFO Tuesday for a one-hour interview program with News Director Mark Scott. Click the "listen" icon above to hear their conversation now or use your podcasting software to download it to your computer or iPod.
