Buffalo, NY – T.K. Mattingly is a retired astronaut who is best known for being grounded from the ill-fated Apollo 13 mission because of a German measles threat. But he went on to play a crucial role in that mission by helping engineers on the ground develop a plan for getting the crew safely home.

Mattingly was in Buffalo Thursday to meet with local health care professionals. He also stopped by the WBFO studios to talk with our Mark Scott.
