Buffalo, NY – Former Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello has been keeping a low profile since he left office at the end of last year.
But Thursday, he was on hand to celebrate the end of a project that began under his watch. The ribbon was cut on 24 new loft apartments in a renovated warehouse on Oak Street.
Masiello says things are going well for him.
"My wife and my kids are happy. I'm around more. I have weekends to myself for the first time in 35 years," Masiello said. "By and large things are fine. It's an adjustment."
Masiello now works for a local lobbying firm. It was one year ago Saturday that Masiello announced that he would not seek re-election.
