Three African-American Doctors Share Their Stories of Making the Right Choices

By Joyce Kryszak

Buffalo, NY – Buffalo has seen a shocking rise in violent crime over the past couple of weeks, most painfully perhaps with the murder of Sister Karen Klimczak. Drugs and theft are said to be the blame. Today, three young men, who faced those same temptations, are in Buffalo to tell young people there's another way. The three African American men grew up together and made a pact to become doctors, instead of criminals.

They shared their story Thursday with some Buffalo high school students in a program with the Erie Niagara Education Center. WBFO's Joyce Kryszak spoke with one of the doctors, George Jenkins.
