Buffalo, NY – Syracuse has locked up another Golden Snowball award, unless something drastic happens -- like a springtime blizzard that dumps four feet of snow on Western New York.
The informal award given to upstate New York's snowiest large city has gone to Syracuse for the past three winters.
This season, Syracuse has received 123 inches of snow compared to 77 for Buffalo.
Rochester is third in the snowfall derby with about 73 inches this season. Binghamton was next at 72 and Albany lagged far behind with 30 inches.
