Buffalo, NY – The Buffalo Common Council is expected to vote on the appointment of a new police commissioner Tuesday.
The man appointed to become Buffalo's top cop is McCarthy Gipson, a 35-year local law enforcement veteran.
Gipson was appointed by Mayor Byron Brown to become the City's first African-American police commissioner.
