Lockport, NY – The leader of Delphi Corporation was in Western New York Thursday.
Chairman and CEO Steve Miller visited the Delphi plant in Lockport. Miller told reporters he wanted to "apologize" to the local workforce for the stress they are enduring as the company deals with bankruptcy.
Miller says he had a chance to speak to rank and file workers at the local facility. He says he also wanted to congratulate the Lockport employees for supporting Delphi customers and conducting record high production levels.
Miller says the company is working on the best solution that will meet the business needs and provides a future for its workforce.
It was the first time Miller has toured the Lockport site. He says it is a "fabulous" operation. Miller says he plans to return to Western New York within the next month or two, after Delphi figures out future plans for its facilities.
