Jamestown, NY – Jamestown country lawyer Robert Jackson, who ascended to the highest court in the land, called his experience as chief prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials his crowning achievement. Wednesday, a three day conference on the legacy of the Nuremberg Trials continues at the Chautauqua Institution. One of this nation's leading experts on Jackson's legal career will be speaking.
John Q. Barrett is a professor of Law at St. John's University who is currently writing of biography of Jackson that will include an inside account of his role as Nuremberg prosecutor. Jackson practiced law in Jamestown before advancing to Washington where he was eventually appointed to the US Supreme Court.
